“Pray Passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers. And pray also that God’s revelation would be released”… (Ephesians 6:18-19)
A week ago, I dreamt of a giant snake - the biggest snake I have ever seen. I was with my three children in the dream, and we were trying to kill the snake with little or no effect. My husband then came on the scene, and immediately he killed the snake. As he did so, the Spirit of God said to me:
“This snake can only be defeated by One”.
The dream then moved to a former house that we had built 14-years ago and which we named Verily House (House of Truth). I was sitting in my old lounge room, where all our prayer ministry was held when all of a sudden a frightened, demon-possessed woman ran through my front door into my lounge room and came straight up to my face and started to scream:
“Satan sent me, Satan sent me, Satan sent me”.
The dream then ended.
When I sought God for an interpretation of this dream I felt He was clear on the following points:
As represented in my dream as the snake, the global problems we face right now are so huge that they cannot be fought through natural means. In other words from the Apostle Paul’s writings in Ephesians 6:
“Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage” (Ephesians 6:10,12 TPT)
In the dream, no matter how hard my children and I tried, the snake would not even become wounded let alone die at the hand of our earthly methods. Similarly, the Lord showed me that the problems we are faced with, in our world, (particularly around things like freedom of speech, freedom of human rights, and issues around the global pandemic, etc.), all of these are being governed by spiritual principalities on the highest level, (as represented by the woman screaming Satan’s very name in my Verily House home).
This means the problem requires a spiritual solution also on the highest level.
In my dream, the solution was represented by my husband who was symbolic of the only One who could defeat the snake - Jesus. Where the kids and I represented the body of Christ, my husband represented Jesus who is our Groom and the head of His Church.
Jesus alone holds the key to win this battle. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, and therefore it must be fought in the Spirit.
The fact that my dream was centered inside my Verily House home, which was often transformed into a House of Prayer is also significant. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6) and He also said my "House will be called a House of prayer" (Matthew 21:13).
The woman in my dream who came into my House of Truth & Prayer with such fear and disruption in the name of Satan represents the ploy of the enemy’s right now - to keep us fearful and distracted and to also keep us from praying effectively for His truth (the solution) which can only come from One source - Jesus. He is the only One who can win this battle. It is only by spending time in His presence, praying, fasting, worshipping, that we will receive His blueprint strategies that will dismantle the defenses behind which people hide as 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 tells us:
“The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God...”
Jesus is inviting us into His war-room (through prayer) to receive the blueprint strategies (His Truth) of his battle plan for this hour. It is time we join the cry of heaven and lift up our voices in unified prayer, to bring justice and mercy to a world desperate for the solution to our growing global problems. Because there really is only One who can defeat the enemy - and His name is Jesus.
